Median sales prices decreased ever so slightly in both Tinley Park and Orland Park for the month of August.
In Orland Park, median prices declined from $277,000 in July, down to $276,000 in August.
The median sales price for a typical (3BR/3BA 2,000-3,000 sq ft) home in Tinley Park also decreased (down just $250), but held almost all of the substantial increase mentioned last month, coming in at $339,000 for August.
I consider this another positive sign that our local market continues to remain stable, which is a good thing considering the challenging economic recovery phase we have entered.
